History

Since opening in the fall of 1993, Heritage Bluffs has garnered numerous awards. In 1994, it was rated among the 10 Best New Public Golf Courses throughout the USA and Canada by Golf Digest.  The same publication has listed Heritage Bluffs as one of the 10 Best Public Courses in all 50 states, in America’s 500 Best Places You Can Play, and # 8 in the State of Illinois. In 2000, Heritage Bluffs was listed as one of the Top 10 Golf Courses by the Chicago Tribune. Golf  Digest recently awarded Heritage Bluffs a Four-Star Rating in their survey of Places To Play.  Chicagoland Golf rated Heritage Bluffs as a Five-Star course in the Chicagoland market. The course also garnered a listing in the distinguished Zagat Survey of America’s Top Golf Courses.  Designed by Dick Nugent and crafted by the Wadsworth Golf Construction Co., Heritage Bluffs sits on 166 rolling, wooded acres.
